New depression pill goes Head-to-Head with standard treatment
NCT ID NCT07253207
Summary
This study tested if a new, once-daily extended-release capsule of the antidepressant levomilnacipran is effective and safe for treating major depressive disorder. It directly compared it against an already approved antidepressant, duloxetine, in 392 adults with moderate to severe depression. The main goal was to see if the new formulation could reduce depression symptoms as measured by a standard rating scale over 8 weeks.
