Brain zaps and mood training tested for depression relief

NCT ID NCT05436379

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called theta burst stimulation (TBS) could reduce depression symptoms. Twenty-one adults with depression received multiple TBS sessions over two weeks, and some also received training to boost positive emotions. Researchers measured whether participants' depression severity decreased by more than half after the treatment.
