NCT ID NCT07212465

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 5-day course of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) can safely reduce depression in adults aged 60-85 who haven't gotten relief from antidepressants. Participants receive either real or placebo stimulation to see if the treatment is well-tolerated and improves mood. The goal is to find a faster, drug-free option for older adults with hard-to-treat depression.
