Can food pictures unlock the secrets of depression?
NCT ID NCT03060967
Summary
This study aimed to test a new computer tool designed to measure two key problems in depression: reduced pleasure (liking) and low motivation (wanting). Researchers planned to have people with depression and healthy volunteers look at and compare colorful versus black-and-white pictures of food on a screen. The goal was to see if this simple test could help doctors better understand and assess depression, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
