Scientists probe why talk therapy works for depression
NCT ID NCT06322420
Summary
This study aims to understand how a therapy called Behavioral Activation helps people with depression. Researchers will follow 120 depressed adults through 12 therapy sessions to see if the treatment works by changing their habit of negative, repetitive thinking. They'll also check if people's childhood stress levels or thinking flexibility affects how well the therapy works for them.
