Summary
This study tested a new method for applying a protective dental sealant to prevent cavities in young adults. Researchers compared a standard sealant application against a method that first cleans the tooth with a special bioactive glass powder. The goal was to see if the new cleaning step helped the sealant stay in place longer and better prevent tooth decay over one year.
