Lasers cut pain in gum surgery, study finds
NCT ID NCT07462117
Summary
This study compared a traditional scalpel to three different dental lasers for a common gum surgery called vestibuloplasty. The surgery was performed on 36 healthy, toothless patients to prepare their gums for dentures. Researchers found that the laser-treated sides had significantly less pain and discomfort after surgery compared to the scalpel side.
