Dental bridge design under scrutiny for potential link to bone loss
NCT ID NCT06636097
Summary
This study aims to understand if the shape of the underside of a full dental implant bridge is linked to bone loss around the implants, a condition called peri-implantitis. Researchers will examine 50 adults who have had a specific type of upper-jaw implant bridge for at least one year. During a single visit, they will take X-rays, scan the bridge, and collect plaque samples to see if deeper bridge shapes lead to more plaque buildup and bone loss.
