Ultrasound reveals hidden healing of dental implants

NCT ID NCT05330702

Summary

This study aimed to understand how bone and gum tissue heal in the first few months after a tooth is extracted and replaced immediately with an implant. Researchers used ultrasound imaging to compare two different gum grafting techniques against no grafting. The goal was to see which method best preserves gum tissue and bone structure around the new implant.
