Scientists test how dental implant gums heal after temporary irritation

NCT ID NCT06063876

Summary

This study aims to understand how gums around dental implants that were previously treated for infection heal. Researchers will temporarily allow mild gum inflammation to develop around healthy, treated implants, then observe how the gums recover when normal cleaning resumes. The goal is to compare healing in implants that had different prior treatments.
