Spit test could spot implant trouble before It's too late
NCT ID NCT07397884
Summary
This study aims to find substances in saliva and fluid around dental implants that could serve as early warning signs for a destructive gum disease called peri-implantitis. Researchers will compare these markers in 80 people: those with healthy gums, those with gum disease, and those with disease around their implants. The goal is to see if simple saliva tests could one day help dentists detect and monitor this problem sooner.
