New tooth implant method aims to stop jawbone shrinking
NCT ID NCT05902715
Summary
This study looked at a specific dental implant technique called the 'socket shield.' Researchers followed 20 patients for 18 months after getting implants to see if leaving a small piece of the old tooth root in place helps keep the surrounding jawbone stable. The main goal was to measure bone thickness and check if the implants were successful.
