School vs. clinic: which tooth filling lasts longer in kids?
NCT ID NCT05766696
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at two methods for filling cavities in children's baby teeth: one done in a classroom (ART) and one in a mobile clinic (conventional). About 200 children in South Africa will get glass-ionomer fillings and be checked for 2 years to see which method works better and costs less. The goal is to find a practical, affordable way to treat tooth decay in rural areas.
