Smart snacks aim to fight malnutrition in dementia patients
NCT ID NCT05007730
Summary
This small, completed study tested whether special 'transitional-state' snacks—foods that change texture—could be a safe and acceptable way to improve nutrition for people with dementia living at home. Researchers worked with 10 participants to see if these ready-made, nutrient-dense snacks could help increase their daily food intake. The main goal was to check if this approach was practical and safe, not to prove it cured dementia.
