First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests a pressure-sensor mat and linked software program designed to improve thinking and balance in older adults. About 205 community-dwelling seniors aged 65+ will participate in group training sessions led by a fitness coach. The mat tracks foot placement on a screen, guiding users through balance exercises and cognitive games like memory or quizzes. Researchers will compare results with a control group to see if the program helps prevent dementia and falls.
