Blood filter may boost stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT05128513

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a blood-filtering device called DELP in people who have had a hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in the brain). The filter removes fats and other substances from the blood to reduce brain swelling and damage. About 356 adults aged 18-80 with mild to moderate stroke symptoms will receive either standard care or standard care plus DELP filtering. The goal is to see if DELP helps more people regain independence within 90 days.
