Summary
This study tests whether providing money specifically for healthy foods during pregnancy can prevent excessive weight gain and related problems like high blood pressure and diabetes. About 1,440 pregnant women will either receive standard care or extra funds (up to $3,000) to buy nutritious foods. Researchers will compare weight gain between the two groups to see if the food support makes a difference.
