Could blood flow clues predict Post-Surgery confusion?

NCT ID NCT07285187

Summary

This study aims to understand if congestion in the body's veins during heart surgery is linked to confusion (delirium) afterward. Researchers will observe 120 adults having elective heart surgery, measuring their blood flow during the operation and checking for signs of confusion for a week after. The goal is to gather knowledge that might help predict or prevent this common complication in the future.
