New brain stimulation approach shows promise for depression relief

Summary

This study tested a new way to use deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (Deep TMS) to treat major depression. About 104 adults with depression received either the new or standard stimulation method. The goal was to see if the new method is as safe and effective at easing depression symptoms over 6 weeks.
