Summary

This pilot trial tests a topical cream containing patented microspicules that deliver Penghu seaweed extracts to the skin. The study will enroll healthy adults aged 40-65 with signs of facial aging or pigmentation, applying the cream to one side of the face for comparison. Researchers will measure skin hydration, elasticity, color, and other markers to see if the cream can improve aging and brighten skin tone.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Deep Microspicule Cream, a topical cream with patented crystal microspicules encapsulating Penghu seaweed extracts (Caulerpa microphysa, Sargassum hemiphyllum, Botryocladia leptopoda)
What this could lead to
If effective, this cream could offer a non-invasive option to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and tone in mature skin.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (10 participants) with subjective measures, so results may not be generalizable. The cream may cause irritation or fail to show significant improvement.
