First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special digital stethoscope, which also records a single-lead ECG, can help doctors spot pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) earlier. Researchers will collect heart and lung sounds from over 2,400 adults who are already scheduled for heart ultrasound or right heart catheterization. The goal is to train a computer algorithm to detect the condition and its severity, potentially making diagnosis faster and easier.
