New study aims to help patients decide next steps after positive cancer blood test
NCT ID NCT07620535
First seen Jun 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how decision counseling affects people who get a positive result from the Shield blood test for colorectal cancer. Researchers will track 350 adults aged 45-75 to see if counseling helps them understand their options and follow through with a complete diagnostic exam like a colonoscopy. The goal is to learn what factors influence patient decisions, not to test a new treatment.
