Balloon vs stent: which works better for tough heart plaques?

Summary
This study looks at two ways to treat hardened calcium deposits (calcified nodules) in heart arteries after using sound waves to break them up. About 128 adults with coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to get either a drug-coated balloon or a drug-coated stent. The goal is to see which option keeps the artery open better after 9 months.
