Summary
This early-stage trial tested the safety and tolerability of a new drug called DCR-AUD in 16 healthy adults who drink alcohol socially. Participants received multiple doses of the drug or a placebo and were monitored for 24 weeks, including up to 10 alcohol challenge sessions. The study aims to see how the drug behaves in the body and what effects it may have when combined with alcohol.
