First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study uses advanced heart MRI scans to look for the earliest signs of dilated cardiomyopathy (a weakened heart muscle) in close relatives of people already diagnosed. Researchers will follow 650 family members over time to see how genetic factors relate to heart changes. The goal is to better understand how the disease develops and improve early detection.
