Power nap for athletes: 30 minutes to beat mental fatigue?
NCT ID NCT07580131
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a 30-minute daytime nap can help endurance athletes recover from mental tiredness. Eleven male amateur athletes took part in two sessions: one where they did mentally tiring tasks before napping, and another where they just napped. Researchers measured sleepiness, mental fatigue, and thinking speed before and after the nap to see if it helped.
