Drug combo may slow kidney failure in rare alport syndrome

Summary
This study tests whether two common kidney drugs, dapagliflozin and spironolactone, can reduce protein leakage in the urine of adults with Alport syndrome, a genetic kidney disease. About 34 participants will try each drug alone and then together, with the goal of slowing kidney damage. The trial aims to find a better way to delay the need for dialysis or transplant.
