Summary
This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug already used for diabetes, can help people with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis (a type of inflammatory bowel disease). The goal is to reduce gut inflammation and improve symptoms like diarrhea and abdominal pain. About 50 adults will take the drug or a placebo, and researchers will track changes using a standard symptom score.
