NCT ID NCT07187570

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether the drug dapagliflozin, usually used for diabetes, can reduce the return of atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in 1600 adults after they receive an electric shock to restore normal rhythm. Participants take the drug or no extra treatment for up to 56 days and record their heart rhythm with a handheld device. The goal is to see if dapagliflozin helps keep the heart in normal rhythm longer.
