Can dance moves chase away the blues? new study tests therapy for depressed teens

NCT ID NCT07293806

Summary

This study is testing whether dance-movement therapy can help reduce depression symptoms in teenagers. Researchers will enroll 140 teens (ages 13-17) with moderate to severe depression and randomly assign them to either receive 12 weeks of dance therapy or continue with their usual treatment. The goal is to see if the creative, body-focused therapy leads to better improvements in mood and self-image compared to standard care.
