Can dance therapy calm the nervous system? new study explores movement for brain disorder

NCT ID NCT07378488

Summary

This study is testing whether structured dance and movement therapy is a practical and acceptable approach for people with functional neurological disorder (FND). Researchers will enroll 30 adults with FND to compare the dance therapy to a standard physical exercise program. The main goal is to see if the therapy is feasible to deliver and if it might help improve trust in one's body, reduce symptoms like tremors or weakness, and enhance overall wellbeing.
