First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adapted Argentine Tango dancing can reduce nerve damage symptoms caused by breast cancer chemotherapy. About 140 survivors who completed taxane-based chemo at least 3 months ago will take 16 dance sessions over 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in numbness, tingling, balance, and quality of life.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Adapted Argentine Tango dance classes
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a drug-free way to reduce nerve pain and fall risk in breast cancer survivors.
What could go wrong
This is a mid-stage trial with only 140 people, so results may not apply to everyone. Dancing may not help all types of nerve damage.
