Blood thinner doubles as infection fighter in major trial
NCT ID NCT06650501
Summary
This study is for people with a serious Staph blood infection who are already taking certain blood thinners. It will test if switching their medication to dabigatran, a blood thinner that may also fight the bacteria, leads to better recovery. Researchers will compare outcomes like survival and complications between patients who switch and those who stay on their original medication.
