Summary

This study tested whether a medication called cytisinicline could help adults quit smoking. Nearly 800 daily smokers who had previously tried to quit took either the medication or a placebo pill for 6 or 12 weeks, along with behavioral support. Researchers measured how many people successfully stopped smoking and stayed smoke-free for up to 24 weeks.
