New eye drop study targets Early-Stage dry eye

NCT ID NCT06981104

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called cyclosporine, delivered as eye drops, could help people with mild to moderate dry eye. Researchers compared it to standard artificial tear therapy in 60 participants to see if it was better at controlling the condition and safe to use. The goal was to see if treating the inflammation early with this medication could break the cycle of dry eye symptoms.
