First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a new catheter (OPTRELL™) that creates detailed maps of the heart to find the exact spots causing persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib). About 80 adults with long-lasting AFib will receive this mapping-guided ablation. The goal is to see if targeting these specific areas improves heart rhythm control better than standard treatment.
