First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether regular, high-intensity indoor cycling can slow or delay Alzheimer's-related brain changes in healthy older adults (ages 65-80) who carry a genetic risk factor (APOE ε4). Participants will exercise at home on a Peloton bike. The goal is to see if exercise can protect memory and brain volume, potentially preventing or delaying the onset of Alzheimer's disease.
