First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new system that uses a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to track blood sugar levels in real time for hospitalized patients with high-risk type 2 diabetes. The system sends data to a digital dashboard so a care team can monitor many patients at once and quickly spot dangerous low or high blood sugar. The goal was to improve blood sugar control and reduce infections. Over 500 adults with type 2 diabetes took part.
