Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called CVL-871 to see if it was safe and could help reduce apathy—a lack of motivation and emotional response—in people with dementia. It involved 41 participants with mild to moderate dementia and significant apathy. The trial was terminated, and its main goal was to check for side effects while also measuring any changes in apathy symptoms.
