Summary
This study tested a new medication called CVL-231 (Emraclidine) in 385 people with schizophrenia who were having a sudden worsening of psychotic symptoms. Participants took either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo pill daily for 6 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug reduced symptoms like hallucinations and delusions better than a placebo.
