First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested two ways of making custom metal plates to fix broken jawbones. Sixteen patients with fractures between the chin points received either a 3D-printed plate or a machined plate. Researchers measured how strong the plates were and how well the jaw healed afterward. The goal was to find out which method gives better support and recovery.
