Custom-Fit jaw plates tested for better healing
NCT ID NCT07231055
Summary
This study tested whether custom-designed titanium plates work better than standard plates for fixing broken jawbones near the joint. 24 patients with this specific jaw fracture received either a plate made just for their bone shape or a standard pre-made plate. Researchers measured surgery time, pain, jaw function, and healing to see if the custom plates led to better recovery.
