Summary
This study looked at whether taking a combination of curcumin (from turmeric) and piperine (from black pepper) can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in people who had a severe heart attack and underwent a procedure to open blocked arteries. Fifty adults were enrolled and took either the supplement or a placebo for 28 days. The goal was to see if this natural supplement could help the heart heal better and lower the risk of future problems.
