Spice vs. sepsis: can turmeric tame a deadly immune overreaction?
NCT ID NCT07436130
Summary
This study is testing whether curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, can help control the dangerous, body-wide inflammation that makes sepsis so deadly. It will involve 56 critically ill sepsis patients in Mexico. Half will receive curcumin and half a placebo, in addition to all standard treatments, to see if it improves inflammation markers and recovery.
