Can a spice pill slow memory loss? UCLA launches major brain health trial

NCT ID NCT07251985

Summary

This study is testing whether a special, easy-to-absorb form of curcumin—the active ingredient in turmeric—can help slow down age-related memory decline. Researchers will enroll 240 adults aged 50-85 who have noticed their memory slipping but do not have dementia. Participants will take either the curcumin supplement or a placebo pill daily for 6 to 12 months to see if it improves scores on memory and thinking tests.
