Oneida nation study uses traditional foods to fight stroke risk

Summary
This study tests whether a nutrition program rooted in Oneida culture can reduce stroke risk factors and slow cognitive decline. About 85 tribal members aged 7 to 85 will receive health coaching, blood work, and imaging over one year. The goal is to improve blood pressure, BMI, and nutrition knowledge through culturally relevant education.
