Summary

This study tested three culturally tailored diet plans (U.S.-Style, Mediterranean, and Vegetarian) in 63 African American adults with overweight or obesity and at least three risk factors for type 2 diabetes. Over 12 weeks, researchers measured changes in diet quality, body weight, and blood sugar levels. The goal was to see if making these diets more culturally relevant could help reduce diabetes risk.
