Tailored sleep therapy tested for arab communities
NCT ID NCT07337369
Summary
This study tested whether adapting a proven sleep therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) to fit Arab cultural beliefs and practices makes it more effective. Researchers compared two adapted versions of the therapy—one with surface changes and one with deeper cultural modifications—against a waitlist group. The goal was to see if these culturally tailored approaches better reduced insomnia severity and improved sleep and mood for Arab adults.
