First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether opening a completely blocked heart artery with a procedure called PCI, in addition to taking standard heart medications, helps people live longer or feel better. About 2000 adults with stable heart disease and symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath will be followed for several years. The goal is to see if the procedure reduces deaths and improves quality of life compared to medication alone.
