Blood test could spot ovarian cancer relapse months before scans
NCT ID NCT06071286
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a blood test that looks for tumor DNA (ctDNA) can find ovarian cancer recurrence earlier than current methods like CT scans or CA-125 blood tests. About 30 women with advanced ovarian cancer will give blood samples over time during their follow-up. If successful, this approach could help doctors catch relapses sooner and tailor treatment more effectively.
